Snowflake

When they all went to the ice-rink I couldn't go with. Gran says its because of my condition but I just think she is selfish and want me all to herself.
The skaters look so beautiful on the ice, I think I would be a goo skater. I have dreams about snowflakes all the time. Gran says I'm like a snowflake because I'm so unique.

Animals

Uncle came over today. Uncle says he has a hard life. He works everyday in the Biltong factory, drying out dead animals and slicing them into little bits. I don't really like eating animals but Gran says that I need the protein to help with my condition. I would really love to keep an animal but Gran says I'm too frail. Jimmy has a pet snake.

Conflict

When Brother went to go to the army I was very sad. But now I have Gran all to myself and I think it's actually better this way. I'm not strong enough to be in the army and I also don't like fighting. Gran and Gramps fight all the time. Gran always wins then tells me what a bad man Gramps is. I don't believe it. He just sits there all day drinking and not hurting anybody. I like it when he tells me about the casinos.

Greener Pastures

Sometimes I feel so alone when I go to the park with Gran, I mean I'm not really alone but I'm not like the other kids playing and laughing. They will never know what it is like.
Jimmy came over yesterday, he makes me feel so special. I just want to feel special all the time, but i don't the world lets people like us feel special all the time. We have to be patient.

Bathtub Glory

When i was a little boy Gran used to wash me in the tub every evening. When I was all done she would dry me off and powder me up with Johnson's baby powder - it felt nice. I'm much bigger now and when I take my bath I lock the door so that Gran won't see what I'm up to - It feels even nicer.
